He started to paint at 12, following his grandfather’s steps, a well established Tuscan painter.

At present he works with acrylic and vinylic painting, on boards and canvas previously emulsioned, to obtain mostly pop-style paintings.

Lorenzo Noccioli's Iconographic language merges from two forms of art: photography and painting. It’s an acrylic emulsion that fuses together tones and images from photographs taken by the author. At the beginning it’s a figuration that mimis insect and flower themes, which are replicated and reproduced using fluo pigments against basic white or black backgrounds. Serialization of main subjects and perception of disjointedness between subjects and colors make this a POP-esque shot. Using emulsion the author experiments with Benday point and half-tone printing; the effect is achieved transferring the ink on a canvas or on a previously prepared board and then painted. A POP hommage is well represented by “edible” subjects, such as polo candies (lifesavers), acid and pointillized, and the chromatic extremisation of Cheeseburger. Vintage sci-fi with gort! klaatu barada nikto, a 1951 cult movie, pure expression of pop as stated by, Bryan Ferry, the Simpson, Creedence Clearwater Revival. In this case the image is transferred on board, an acrylic film that print as a symbol inside a movie film. Organic experiment with tooth (Dente), where a molar of the author is transferred on two boards, with a progressive degradations, implicit in this kind of multiples; degradation that doesn’t occur in the accumulation of bronze casting tooth that pair the two boards. Butterflies with psychedelic colors, sandwichiches whom flavour and thinckness grows just watching them, small larvae protagonist of a big world, visual and artistic, different sized that personalize and make unique everything, as the ladybug and polos in squares.
